Comment: Great value for the dollar, outstanding picture clarity and quality, sound is surprisingly pleasant as well but .... broke down just after a month ... I'd like to beleive I got the dud and try not to knock Samsung's quality, but its hard when you drop a thousand bucks. There is only a 30 day return policy, so outside of that they will send a local certified repair tech. According to the tech. I had a bad video processor ... screen went blank and red power light was blinking ... Didn't do much research so it may be a common problem I wasn't aware of. I immediately purchased the 3yr extended warranty, which I believe you have 60 days to complete after the date of your purchase. I was thankful to still be inside of that window.

Summary: Beautiful LCD Flat screen
Comment: We absolutely love this television, it has passed all of our expectations. My husband loves watching football in High Definiton and the picture quality is unbelievable. It is as if you can reach out and just touch the person on the screen, we definetely are pleased with our purchase. I recommend buying from Amazon as well, we have had excellent service with fast shipping.

Summary: Samsung Will Honor Your Samsung Warranty bought throughAmazon Warranty
Comment: I was concerned about whether or not Samsung would honor the extended service plan after reading the reviews for both the 3 year plan as well as the 5 year plan. I called Samsung's support line and asked about whether or not they would honor the warranty bought from Amazon. He told me that as long as it was a Samsung warranty they would definitely honor it despite it being purchased through Amazon. He then gave me the number for their warranty support line as well. I called them just to make sure and a Samsung representative reassured me that Samsung would honor the service plan bought through Amazon.
Please disregard my vote as I have not purchased the warranty yet. And I have not made use of its service.

Summary: I once was blind but now I see
Comment: Great television, I shopped for a while and it came down to a 40" Toshiba and this Samsung. The Samsung had a better picture when I would look at them in stores and this price was the best hands down. The 30,000 to 1 ratio is incrediable you can get 40,000 to 1 and 50,000 to 1 but you would need to add about $100.00 to $150.00 per step up. At 44 I am not sure my eyes would be able to tell the difference. This product shipped promptly and I am very happy with it.

Comment: This seems awfully pricey for a supposedly quality product. If I were buying an unknown brand it might make sense, but unless Samsung's products are chronically defective, it seems like a losing bet.
