Customer Rating: Summary: A pretty good screen protector, but has some flaws Comment: I got this screen for my brand new samsung yp-p2 about five months ago. So, I've been using it for about five months now. I'll cover everything that needs to be known.
1) The screen protector effectively protects the screen. Today I took the screen off for the first time to clean it, and the screen was completely scratch free. However, once i took a good look at the protector, it was completely scratched up, and now that I think about it, the scratches on the protector are really, really visible. I usually keep my p2 in my pocket with my cell, and they both are pretty scratched up. The screen can take a beating, but it'll show
2) The screen can be taken off and washed, then reapplied without solution. Once it dries the sticky side gets sticky again. To wash it you can run it in warm soapwater and it'll get off anything under it. However, if you do wash it with water, the tacky side will be inevitably dirty still - after washing it five times (with different soaps and drying conditions) there is always stuff on the tacky side. Now that its dry, its a little visible
3) Marks are unfixable. The instructions for washing the screen give directions to flap it like a Polaroid to dry it. When i did that, i put a dent in it, like you would put creases in a piece of paper you'd flap around. I wasnt flapping it carelessly or really fast or anything, it just happened just because of how its made. This is a warning more than anything.
Marks on the tacky side are unfixable, too. The first time i put the screen on I had it hanging a very, very little off the side, and if you have a p2 you know the edges curve. In that little off the side, dust collected and ended up permanently scratching it.
I think thats all I have to say. Its a good protector, but it seems to need some protecting itself.
