Customer Rating: Summary: A little bulky, but unbreakable. Comment: First, notice this comes with 2 batteries, unlike most other Fenix lights. That's worth $7 at least off the price. This light is visibly brighter than the P2D-CE (Premium Q5) torch when tested side by side on a white wall. It also is more painful to look directly at the maximum beam. It is a shame this doesn't have all the different brightness modes of the P2D especially the long lasting SOS call, and strobe setting which I'm sure would be helpful in signaling for help in an emergency. Still for a flashlight that will not break and with all the power you could want, this is an excellent buy. Customer Rating: Summary: Best buy for the money, bright, well made, stout construction. Comment: This light is far brighter than many others of its size costing much, much more. I liked it so much I also bought the 215-lumen Fenix for the light holder on my leg rig (I'm in Baghdad, Iraq). I'm going to buy more Fenix lights. Customer Rating: Summary: Do your homework before buying. Comment: Delivery was prompt. Color of the finish was misleading and/or my bad. Looks like a dark...black finish but discovered to be gray. Why gray??? No information on replacement bulbs. Have no way to test the 225 lumens. Thought it looked even with my 'SureFire' and 'Pelican' ...yes I know to work the two switch. Being in law enforcement a true 225 lumens is important to stun mental offenders back from going postal. Customer Rating: Summary: T1 Tactical, tiny tank of a light! Comment: This is a very bright light for its relatively small size. The big plus for this product is the tank like construction. Search around online for abuse tests, [...] has a bunch. These things really take a beating. They are tactical in design but I'm not sure they nailed that aspect. It is hard to hold and operate with a pistol in your hand. The clip really gets in the way too. I like the simple use, rear click and high low via head twist. That being said the P3D Q5 would be a better general use alternative, especially if you don't plan on physically abusing it. The many different brightness settings on the P3D would come in handy during every day use. The T1 does throw further and has its place in your collection even if you own a P3D or equivalent.
The T1 is large for every day carry. The clip does make this an option though. I would highly recommend a P2D Q5 for every day, pick one up if you don't have one.
4/5 because the clip bothered me. Fenix started making these clipless, so search for that if you think it might bother you as well.
