This has been the absolute WORST Television I have ever Purchased!!! I bought it from a brick & mortar store Best Buy.

Within the first FOUR (4) months of purchase and delivery {7-21-2007}, the television failed and the LED was blinking 13 times {11-29-2007}. I called Panasonic and they gave me the repair service providers to choose from and I chose one. The servicer came to my house, saw the blinking lights and ordered parts. They came back to repair the tv when the parts were shipped to them. FOUR (4) circuit boards were replaced in the television and I was told that it was basically a brand new tv at this point. TWO (2) months later I called the servicer and told them that there were cracking noises on certain stations, so they came out to witness the problem and said that the same thing happened on their tvs at their house {1-22-2008}. Then within 11 months of those boards being replaced the tv FAILED again for the same problem...LED blinking 13 times {10-8-2008}!!! I called the servicer and he spoke to Panasonic who decided to replace the circuit boards again. This is RIDICULOUS for a company to keep performing the same maintenance on an obvious LEMON TV. I also spoke with Panasonic reps and told them that I wanted this LEMON replaced with a TH-42PZ800U because obviously this tv was a LEMON. They did not agree with me and instead decided to replace the circuit boards again. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM PANASONIC.

The servicer has done an excellent job, but is bound by the hands that they work with (Panasonic). I do recommend the servicer highly though, as they have excellent customer service and high quality technicians with great customer service skills.

Summary: WOW !!!
Comment: The 42PZ700U plasma, like the 42PZ77U, provide the best picture quality in this size & class. Amazing HD(1080p)and non HD clean images with deep black levels and shadow detail. The sound is great (for TV size speakers)and setup was easy. The anti-glare/reflective coating could be better and there is no PIP, but those are minor issues compared to all the positives.

Comment: The processor was only guaranteed for a year--it malfuntioned within a month after the first year. Now we have 2 inch lines on the screen, one red and one green.
