L-Bow Gloves for Kids: The L-Bow Gloves feature a patented over-the-elbow design that is a great choice for gloves and mittens in the snow! Whether snowboarding, skiing or throwing snowballs, these stay on and keep the wrists warm and dry. These hand protectors are waterproof with 3M Thinsulate insulation for maximum warmth and less bulk. Each glove/mitten has a 3M reflective label for increased visibility at night. L-Bow products promotes earlier self-sufficiency because these gloves/mittens are the last item to be put on rather than the first. Kids have complete use of their hands to zip zippers, put on hats and boots,and buckle ski and board straps before putting their hands in the gloves or mittens -- then they pull up the wrist protecting sleeve over the jacket and wrist. An "under-the-jacket" application also works for younger kids who love to shed their mittens in the snow. A Note of Caution on Mittens and Gloves:We have found that mittens and gloves are the hardest item to fit properly on young kids. Some kids like one style, some like another. Most would prefer to have bare hands until they start to cry... While L-Bow mittens and gloves are one of our favorites, like all winter hand protectors, they are still bulky for toddlers. Customer Rating: Summary: An absolute winter fun must have Comment: We love to play in the snow, however it never lasts long as eventually after a few tumbles off the sled our 5 yr olds wrists would become exposed to the snow. We bought both the mitten and glove style of L-Bow back in December 07 and after months of use, are happy to say we love them (both styles). They have cured our problem and now our son enjoys winter fun ALL day and never wants to go inside. Best of all I know he is warm and dry and there is no fear of frostbite. If you like to play in the snow - these gloves/mittens are a must have! Customer Rating: Summary: L-Bow Glove for Kids Comment: These gloves solved our problem with my daughter getting snow in her gloves and sleeves. These gloves repel the water and stay quite dry. She loves them, and I have the assurance that she is not getting snow on her hands and wrists. The only tricky part is that you have to put them on for the child and zip up the jacket because they need to go on before the jacket. However, when the child is going to play in the snow it is well worth it.
