Comment: I bought this filtration system about 3 months ago. I love it, and my family does too. We had a 2 gallon dispenser we kept in the fridge before we bought this. We were always filling it up. This unit has a 3 gallon tank on top (which you use to re-fill the tank)and maybe I fill it up once a day. It has a 2 gallon on bottom which gives you a 5 gallon tank of filtered water without someone delivering it or going to the store and buying it. The water tastes better than bottled water, too.
The filters are lasting a long time, just like PUR describes. After 3 months, the indicator has barely moved off the start position. I purchased the one w/ 8 filters included. I won't need filters or shell out any money for excellent tasting water for about 4 years. What a deal! What a product! I can't believe it's not more popular than it is. I hope Amazon gets to sell more because I have several family members that are interested. It works exactly as claimed. It supplies fresh, clean, excellent tasting water for less money than bottled. You can't go wrong with this product.

Comment: The concept of this product is great. However, I would like to have been informed ahead of time that this was a #7 plastic. So...for anyone who might be interested in avoiding Bisphenol-A...THIS PRODUCT IS #7 PLASTIC!

Summary: Great Water Filter!
Comment: My parents were schlepping 5 three gallon water bottles back and forth to the water store every other week and tried to pass off the chore to me. This is the perfect solution to that stupid chore. Yes, I'll be paying for filters but it beats schlepping those bottles back and forth! Love this thing! I'm buying one for my apartment!

Comment: I just received this today (very quickly) from AllergyBeGone and I am so impressed with it I am getting one for my animals: two dogs and a cat, who have their "own" water dispenser; I am sure they will like it too!
I am on well water with lots of iron sediment, and PUR filters have always done a fine job with their pitchers and dispensers. You can't tell from the picture but this unit houses two filter cartridges, so it refills reasonably fast.
And since I am in Alaska, the shipping basically doubles the price, so I must really like it!

Summary: Works fine, but may not be able to get same filters
Comment: I bought this product about a year ago to replace the bottle my dad would refill himself at the grocery store. I think the water tastes fine, but he says he liked the other one better. Oh well, this one is much more convenient. The filters that came with the bottle had an orange indicator to let you know when they needed to be replaced, but the filters I found in stores no longer have an indicator, so that's annoying. On the bright side, the filters that came with the bottle lasted OVER A YEAR, and it's used quite a bit, so I'm going to have to trust that the new filters will last about the same amount of time. A year later, I'd say it was a good buy ($20 a year for me--since you need 2 filters and they're about $10 each).
