From the supplier: Reversion, or the anaerobic thermal aging in rubber, involves changes such as an increase in monosulfidic bonds, a decrease the number of crosslinks and their average length and the chemical modification of the rubber chain. Reactions, such as desulfurization, also take place. The network is then full of polysulfidic bonds. Semi-efficient or efficient vulcanization systems are high in accelerator and low in sulfur content.
