The replacemnt antenna screwed on easily, but I found that it doesn't work as well as the original in terms of reception/bars--I've swtiched out the antennae on 2 duplicate phones (same model, age, etc). However, this little antenna replacement saved me a LOT of money, because I didn't want to buy a new phone right now! Thanks, Amazon. The cell phone company told me this was NOT a replaceable part and I would have to get another phone (upgraded of course since they said they no longer made this phone) and I would have to start another contract because getting the new phone cancelled my existing contract.......I just happened to do my own research and lo and behold....this part exists!!
