In fewer than five years, Rachael Ray has radically changed the way America cooks dinner. Her perky-girl-next-door swagger, her catchphrases for techniques, and her dinner ideology of simpler, less expensive and just in time have sold billions of books and placed her at the top of the talent heap of food television personalities. The F??ri RR East/West Coppertail is two knives in one: a chef's knife shape for classic rocking and sawing action (for heavy professional work) and fine chopper shape for fast vertical chopping (for softer vegetables). It has unique scalloped edge and Coppertail handle. With no handle gaps or joins, there's nowhere for germs to hide, making F??ri Pro one of the easiest knives to keep clean.A solid copper plug is fused into the end of the handle for easy rebalancing, i.e. as the blade wears and becomes lighter over time, copper is filed from the tails to rebalance the knife. The handle wedges into the hand, requiring less 'squeeze' to perform repetitive cutting tasks, resulting in less fatigue and hand strain than conventional handles. F??ri Pro is durable because there are no wood, plastic, rivets or separate pieces that can deteriorate over time.

Customer Rating: Summary: Performs great, but blade cracked Comment: I received this knife for Christmas last year and loved it, but about a month ago (after just 10 months of use), there is a crack in the blade. I have no idea how it happened. I hand-wash all of my knives, so it did not go through the dishwasher. I only use it to cut vegetables and fruits. I didn't drop it and I am the only one who uses it. I have owned a lot of knives, but I've never had one crack in the blade. I will buy a Henckels or Wusthof to replace it.
Customer Rating: Summary: An average knife, at best Comment: I purchased this knife, along with its 7" sister, as a gift for my wife, who was taken by the santoku knife craze. It works well, sharpens easily, but does not hold its edge any longer than other knives in our kitchen. Maybe that shouldn't concern or surprise me, but considering that Furi charges a premium price for this knife, I would expect exemplary performance, not average. Nevertheless, it is a functional knife that we both use regularly... after sharpening.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not a chef Comment: This was our first purchase of a chef's knife. It is smaller than expected. It cut very well at first. The weight was great. However, we've only had it a few months and it needs to be sharpened.
Customer Rating: Summary: Knife SUX!! Comment: I bought this knife last year at Christmas time. I loved it when I first got it, however, after about 6-8 weeks, it became so dull, it was not usable!! I have a 7" Pampered Chef Chef's knife that I paid $25.00 for that is a way better knife!! My plan was to buy the set over time, but I won't buy another one! What a rip!! Rachael needs to work on this knife. I used a high quality cutting board and everything and still, it's a dud. Don't waste your money!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent knife Comment: Being in need of a new chef's knife, did some research and found this one. It works extremely well for me. It's the perfect size and weight. I'd highly recommend this especially for those who may be a little arthritic with small hands.
