Summary: Most aggravating device I've ever used
Comment: This printer produces beautiful pictures, (when it works), I liked the idea of not using ink cartridges, you know in advance how many pictures you will be able to print. After a little while; and I mean a very little, like 3 months; it started having problems puling the paper, it will either just jam or say that the ink needed to be replaced. Until it finally stop completely working. Don't buy this printer, you will waste your money.

Comment: I have the Kodak printer dock plus, from 2004, and the dx 7630 camera. Both have consistently worked just fine. No streaks, no bubbles, no jams with the printer. The easyshare software did not want to work with vista, so I abandoned it, after tech support gave me multi-step directions to fix it. It just didn't seem worthwhile to spend the time. I use paint.net to edit photos, and Vista recognizes the camera just fine when I insert the usb into the cpu. The pictures print just fine when I place the camera on the printer.
I also have a newer HP photo printer for bigger pictures, and I think the Kodak prints better. Plus, I like the type of ink & coating that Kodak puts on the photo to preserve them.
Perhaps this printer is different from mine, but I have had mine for years now with no problems.

Summary: All Kodak printer docks are just junk
Comment: I'm getting ready to throw away my THIRD Kodak printer dock. I've tried every one in the series and none have worked properly. One never was able to print at all!
I've known the printer was erratic the last time I tried to use it. I wanted to send some photos with a Christmas card, so spent a lot of time trying to clean the rollers, load paper, select pictures, and print. No luck at all. It refuses to feed paper to the printer, the amber light comes on, and that's it.
When I bought my first printer, I bought a pack of 160 sheets of Kodak paper and ink cartridges. I still have more than 100 blank sheets left, 60 pictures out of three printers. What a shame. No, the shame is really Kodak's, taking what used to be a respectable name and producing 3rd rate junk under that brand.
It does no good to contact Kodak. Their customer service has no idea what to do or what you're talking about. It does no good to write them, you get a form letter back. Diagnosis and repair costs are too high to warrant the expense for a machine that is going to come back and quickly quit working again.
Eastman Kodak - one of the great brands of American industry - once upon a time. Now, they make products not fit for much more than a dollar store.

Summary: Kodak EasyShare printer dock 3 and Vista
Comment: I've had this printer for 2-3 months now and have had very few problems. I do use it on a pc with Vista but I do not use the software that came with it. I use Microsoft Digital Image Suite Anniversary Edition. Since I have never downloaded the Kodak software I just select it as the printer when I pull up the photos I want to print. Works well with one caveat, for digital photos the 4 x 6 will not be filled out to the edges. It crops the photo a small amount and it fills them top to bottom but not left to right. So you will need to be certain there is a little bit of margin around items of interest in your picture. I would suggest printing a picture and then comparing it to the original on the camera or on the pc so you can determine how much it is going to crop. I agree with the others it is still cheaper to print elsewhere but is very nice to have this printer for something quick.

I was interested in buying this photo printer as a Christmas present for my niece as she has a compatible Kodak camera to use with it but I noticed the price that Amazon has it listed for and thought there must be some kind of mistake since it can be purchased for $[...] directly from Kodak
