After seeing others reviews, I chose to use a disposable shaver for the clean bikini line, etc. but as a trimmer & shape this does a fantastic job! Really does work both dry & in the shower. I feel very safe using it with the adjustable guard on - NO ONE should be trimming with scissors while this great product is available, it's worth every penny! However, at the shortest guard level, I've nipped myself a couple times but not majorly. On closer inspection after being nipped, the trimmer's teeth are pointed... so I wouldn't recommend using it without the guard at all or on the shortest level near skin that might be a little loose. All in all, I've used it for a couple years on the shower and it's still going strong. A wise purchase. Customer Rating: Summary: hated it! Comment: after using my boyfriend's shaver for over a year, i decided it was time to buy my own. i bought this remington and used it only once-- i will never use it again! i tried using it without the guard and it completely cut me up! i plan on getting the same kind my boyfriend had instead!!
