Customer Rating: Summary: One of the Greatest Movies Ever! Comment: This movie is timeless...a great movie with great actors. I can watch it over and over again without being bored. It's up there with the Wizard of Oz, Gone With the Wind and others. I'll never be disappointed with this purchase which was delivered in a very timely and professional manner.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great product Comment: Finally.....my favorite television mini-series of all time on DVD. It's wonderful to be able to watch the entire series without commercial interruption. Too bad 25 years ago no one knew that someday we would want to see behind the scenes footage - "the making of The Thorn Birds." The only thing that would make this DVD set better is if there were extras, but I'm sure they are not available.
Customer Rating: Summary: As expected Comment: The DVD was just as expected. It was way too pricey for a DVD, but it came as no suprise. Shipping was way too much to.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Comment: This is such a wonderful mini series and thanks to Amazon I was able to purchase it at a great price. Anyone who hasn't seen it needs to rent it, then they will want to own it. Get it at a great price thru Amazon!
Customer Rating: Summary: A Classic Comment: I watched this mini series in the 80s. I loved it then and even more so now. This movie is a classic. It spans over forty years to portray a love story that could never be between an ambitious priest and a love-struck girl. Barbara Stanwyck gave the performance of her life. She was awesome and a key figure in this sage of love, neglect, favoritism, religion, and ambition.
