*Membership/Nominee Disqualification
Any member/nominee found indulging in acts contrary to the purposes and activities of the program should be removed by the Council by following the due procedure as laid down in
bye-laws. The Council should set a probationary period of 1 to 3 years for renomination. In good faith, an individual may resign his/her nomination.
Council members should relinquish their membership when it comes to receiving awards or honors at the ceremonies.
My favorite group walked away with numerous awards. I have always believe that they were #1, but three of the group members serve as Board of Directors for several southern gospel music events.
Some people are questioning why their favorite group wasn't nominated for an award. There are other qualified people who can serve on the board of directors.
I haven't mastered the craft of writing, but it can't be any worst than trying to read those pseudo-blog sites that are under various disguises and names.
They may feel comfortable writing their comments on those site because their views will not get publish in the Singing News Magazine.
We are not fans - but friends of Gospel Musical Ministries. We should not relinquish our identity in Christ and relinquish our right to vote! We need an Independent Vote Analysis to ensure Voting Integrity for the Gospel Music Industry.

Summary: Super Source for Southern Gospel Music lovers
Comment: I have been exposed to the Singing News for going on 30 years and I am totally sold on its contributors as well as it's staff. This publication keeps fans and gospel music listeners abreast of the up and coming events, personnel changes and special needs of groups that travel around singing Southern Gospel music. I truly love the articles and pictures which bring some very popular people down to a regular persons level. By no means are they gods but they all (gospel music legends) are held in high regards. If you desire to be informed in this venue of music, this would be the magazine for you.
